Location
Kranjska Gora is an attractive mountain and tourist sports center throughout the year. In the winter it sees Alpine skiers compete and top ski jumpers break new records at the nearby Planica. Cyclists endeavor to conquer the highest Slovenian mountain pass, and hikers can stop by many points of interest. Transportation
The closest airport is Jože Pučnik – Brnik Airport (Ljubljana, Slovenia) with good connections to all major European airports. It is about one hour car drive from the airport to Best western hotel.
Transportation from Jože Pučnik – Brnik airport or Ljubljana will be arranged for meeting attendees upon request and payment.
If you would like to travel yourself there are several options:
- organized transport from Ljubljana or Jože Pučnik – Brnik airport that costs 40 EUR both ways (20 EUR one way);
- rent-a-car at Ljubljana airport;
- rent a car through internet somewhere in Ljubljana and take a shuttle transport from Jože Pučnik – Brnik airport to Ljubljana. Shuttles are parked right outside the arrival zone and it shouldn’t cost more than 10 EUR. Tell the shuttle driver to drop you off at the location of your reserved rent-a-car;
- public transport (bus or train) from Ljubljana main bus/train station.
For those coming by car, take motorway exit “Jesenice zahod”, “Kranjska Gora” and at the T-junction make a left turn. It is about 20 km from the motorway exit to Kranjska Gora and the hotel.
